From an emergency to complete success! Due to a pandemic, the canton of Obwalden was unable to offer construction site tours for the population in 2020, so the canton decided to create a virtual tour for the construction site to inform the population about the construction progress. Since the virtual tour was well received by the population, another tour with updated images was created two years later. Another advantage of virtual tours is that the construction is only minimally disturbed and there is no risk of accidents for visitors.
About technology
In this VR tour combined almost all formats, starting with 360° images and footage, drone footage and simple images and videos, which were included for additional information.
