With the 360° VR tour of the education campus, ÖBB trainees can take a tour of the building and already find their way around during their first visit. Furthermore, they can use it to find out more about what the Education Campus has to offer. For example, the visitors know where and how many charging stations there are for bicycles and cars, or that the campus has a fitness center and an outdoor sports facility, so they bring their sports clothes with them.
About technology
The VR tour is photo-based, a 360° photo was taken at important or interesting locations, which are then compiled into a tour through links. The user can click through the entire tour or jump to the relevant points via the map. For the greeting and at important locations an avatar was inserted, which speaks to the users. Furthermore, pop-up fields were integrated, which reveal further details about the campus to the user.
